Blair E. Koch
President, TAB – Denver West
TAB Certified Facilitator
Blair Koch’s professional career spans more than twenty years as an executive, entrepreneur and trusted business advisor to presidents, CEOs and business owners. Her background and experience includes business start-up, operational management, business development, sales and marketing, project and product management, strategic planning and facilitation. Her experience as a business owner and shareholder provide her with broad exposure to the vast array of challenges, opportunities, issues and problems that top executives and entrepreneurs face. Blair is a published author and has been quoted in publications such as Investor’s Business Daily and Pink Magazine.
Blair has been on the front line, at the boardroom table, and everywhere in between. Her experience includes business start-up, operations, development, sales and marketing, project and product management, strategic planning and facilitation. A few of Blair’s most impressive accomplishments include: leading a multi-national company in post-IPO revenue growth from $100M to $500M; managing a project for one of the largest technology companies in the world that resulted in $100M in revenue; and bringing new products to market resulting in $5M of new revenue and a stock price increase of more than 600% over a one year period. She has also been instrumental in raising millions of dollars in angel and Wall Street funding for companies and has designed and implemented marketing strategies for businesses large and small, domestic and international.
After leaving a lucrative corporate job in California and moving to Colorado in 2004, Blair looked around for a business opportunity that would capitalize on her experience as a strategist and marketing professional – and one that would provide her with the independence and unlimited upside that a nine-to-five corporate career so often lacks. Already running a successful marketing consulting firm, BEK Enterprises, Blair was looking for something that would compliment her marketing consulting work and allow her to leverage her extensive business background. “I looked into executive business advisory opportunities and was immediately drawn to The Alternative Board® (TAB),” says Blair. “TAB provided me with an opportunity to use the skills I’d developed in the corporate world and in my consulting practice and apply those not only to my own business, but to supporting other Denver area business owners.”
Blair began her career in IBM’s National Marketing Division while still in college and spent several years as a system engineer/programmer at General Motors/Electronic Data Systems and as a sales support executive at Syntellect, Inc. Prior to starting her consulting and marketing practice and becoming involved with TAB, Blair served as Vice President of Marketing at iSpring, Director of Product Marketing and Management at Aspect Communications, and Director of Product Management at Rapt, Inc. Blair holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and communication from California State University in Sacramento.
